I appreciate Robyn for taking initiative and working daily! Again, discussing your assignments with your teacher is good practice for when you enter into college. You have to fight and make strives for yourself without the assistance of your parents.

DID YOU KNOW?
In the news this week, we lost an iconic legend. Many of you may not be familiar with his music but he is most famous for classic hits such as Purple Rain, Diamonds & Pearls and so many more hits. As we remember Prince, many of his close loved ones talk about his integrity and discipline to his craft. Within hours of his death, we have learned of his ability to play several instruments and he wrote hits for big name artists. Help me celebrate his life as I dedicate this announcement to an extraordinary artist.

DID YOU KNOW?
In 14.1 you have to explain integrity and how does it apply to your life. Well, I had to think really hard about whom I would consider to be a person with integrity. After thinking long and hard, I came to decide Taylor Swift is one of my favorite singers! I love her hit single "Shake IT OFF!" But, what I really love about Swift is her love for those in need. She visits the sick and has a personal connection with her fans!

DID YOU KNOW?
This week we are embracing the power of integrity! In our society we are faced with difficult obstacles that can involve standing by ourselves in order to make a stand! Integrity encompasses having a honest and diligent personality. I was impressed to view Boniface Mwangi's courageous speech about the day he had to stand alone. He was known as Softy because he was referred was being a harmless boy a person that will not make a difference. Mwangi was faced with a decision at the local public meeting, in that moment he made a decision that changed the course of his life! Take a look at Mwangi's and see how we can apply his speech to this week's lesson!

As I take the approach to living a more healthier lifestyle, I'm trying to change my thoughts to positive and focused on long-term goals. What are some items you have a difficult time maintaining discipline? Emily Balcetis explains the scientific reasoning of why some people are more dedicated to exercising more so than others. You may easily apply this TED Talk to similar areas of your life.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 3 : Put First Things First!

Habit 1 says, "You're in charge. You're the creator." Being proactive is about choice. Habit 2 is the first, or mental, creation. Beginning with the End in Mind is about vision. Habit 3 is the second creation, the physical creation. This habit is where Habits 1 and 2 come together. It happens day in and day out, moment-by-moment. It deals with many of the questions addressed in the field of time management. But that's not all it's about. Habit 3 is about life management as well--your purpose, values, roles, and priorities. What are "first things?" First things are those things you, personally, find of most worth. If you put first things first, you are organizing and managing time and events according to the personal priorities you established in Habit 2.
